Human rights: part of professional training?

She has extensive experience in teaching, administration, planning, management, evaluation, structuring of processes, projects and initiatives in the different fields of health and education.
Her professional career demonstrates extensive expertise and knowledge of the national social and educational landscape. At the University of La Sabana, she served as Academic Secretary in the Faculty of Nursing and Rehabilitation, Director of the Nursing Program, Head of Accreditation in the Planning Department, and Head of Quality Assurance in the Curriculum Department. She also served as Director of the Nursing Department at the Shaio Clinic, Director of the Nursing Department at San Ignacio Hospital, and as the coordinating nurse for Intensive Care, Operating Rooms, and the Neonatal Unit. She was also an Assistant in the Pulmonology Department at San Ignacio Hospital, among other positions.
The new dean has co-authored more than 150 self-evaluations for the "Renewal of Qualified Registrations" and self-evaluation documents for various programs, as well as a teacher of seminars at the national level on the topics of self-evaluation and accreditation in private and official entities; a national and international advisor on quality issues in higher education; and a peer evaluator in various national and international higher education institutions.
It is worth noting that, thanks to her excellent professional work, dedication and commitment, the San Ignacio University Hospital awarded María Eulalia the "Ignacio de Loyola Distinction" and the Faculty of Medicine of the same Institution highlighted her work for having been part of the history of the hospital.
UCundinamarca What challenges must the dean's office face with this appointment?
María Eulalia Buenahora Ochoa: The challenges I must take on as dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences are: Strengthening the self-evaluation group with a view to high-quality accreditation for the Nursing program, working as a team with the Directorate of Institutional Self-Evaluation and Accreditation, and other departments that support the process.
To guide the actions of the faculty by promoting the integration of training and learning, science, technology and innovation, university interaction, interdisciplinarity and high levels of quality in the mission activities of the University.

UCundinamarca What are the main tasks or improvement actions that the Faculty of Health Sciences should undertake?
MEBO: Strengthen the curriculum committee and work on curriculum redefinition, supported by the Directorate of Self-Evaluation and Academic Development. Incorporate new technologies in communications and the teaching-learning process without completely replacing traditional communication and processes. Demonstrate the impact of science, technology, and innovation through indicators with social responsibility. Strengthen and disseminate exchange policies. Increase the visibility of the faculty and its strengths at the national and international levels. Improve and maintain opportunities for active faculty participation in working committees. Create postgraduate programs, including master's degrees and specializations, and improve SABER-PRO test scores.

MEBO: Students can rest assured that we will continue working to ensure they have a high-quality program every day, with highly qualified and qualified professors.
