The CAD renews its image

The Academic Sports Center (CAD) is envisioned as a hub for sports and wellness, not only for the university community but also for the general public. Its image is now dynamic and vibrant.

The Academic Sports Center of the University of Cundinamarca – CAD (created by the University Superior Council through Agreement 014 of 2017) is an academic-administrative unit attached to the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Physical Education, through which UCundinamarca constitutes a learning field for academic, research, interaction and well-being development, typical of physical activity, physical education, sports and recreation.

The complex is located in Fusagasugá (Cundinamarca) and covers approximately 150,000 square meters (15 hectares). It features swimming pools, lodging, auditoriums, soccer fields, a skating rink, tennis courts, a campground, a multi-sports complex (for futsal, basketball, and volleyball), beach volleyball, indoor arenas (for basketball and volleyball), a medical clinic, a gym, a restaurant, and a cafeteria.

With the aim of strengthening itself, the CAD presents its new image to the university community and the general public, composed primarily of the iconic Olympic flame, alluding to the different sports disciplines that can be practiced in this field of learning; the figure of an athlete in motion in the center symbolizes the constant dynamism and movement that the brand and its services want to acquire; and the institutional colors of UCundinamarca, which symbolize friendship with the environment, which impacts well-being and health.

The CAD offers a wide range of facilities and services designed to contribute to personal development through physical activity, recreation, and sports. Throughout the year, it also develops a comprehensive schedule of sporting activities aimed at promoting the productive use of leisure time and improving quality of life through sports and recreation.
