Fifth-semester industrial engineering students from UCundinamarca participated in the Regional Business Services Fair of the Province of Soacha, an event organized by the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, whose objective is to provide new business opportunities to entrepreneurs in the Region.
“This fair is very important to us because it allows us to contribute to the entrepreneurship of each of the students.” Lina Chávez, a student at UCundinamarca who participated in the event with Bioletter, a business idea that uses biodegradable materials to make credentials and cards, stated.
Another idea presented was that of student Andrés Díaz, who, with his proposal of cleaning products and soaps made with biodegradable raw materials, showed another way to contribute to the environment.
The Professor Carlos Eduardo Castro Mateus, who was in charge of guiding the students during the activity, was very pleased with the results. “Here we can evaluate the productivity and initiative of the students in the Program,” Castro Mateus noted during the event.
The products offered by the students were among the most eye-catching at the fair, demonstrating the effectiveness and applicability of the learning fields that have a special emphasis in the UCundinamarca Rector's Plan.
