“This artistic and cultural space enriches our Udecina community and its comprehensive education, understanding that these cultural exchanges allow us to strengthen our identity, build academic networks, and forge bonds of brotherhood and unity among the participating universities,” explained Paola Hincapié, social worker and leader of the event at the Facatativá Extension.
The 1st Folk Dance Festival of the University of Cundinamarca brought together 40 dancers and more than 200 attendees, who enjoyed an afternoon full of color, dances and Colombian rhythms such as Champeta, San Juanero, Bambuco among others.
The dancers participating in the cultural event belong to Uniagraria University, and they performed Bambuco, Guaneña, and San Juanero. The artists from Uniminuto University danced San Pedro, Puya, and Champeta.
For its part, Universidad San Martin delighted the audience with its performance of the Cuadro Paisa and Bambuco. Universidad de Cundinamarca shone on stage with the San Pedro dance and the Bambuco Resilencia.
Each university delegation received a commemorative plaque for their participation from the University Directorate.
