UCundinamarca paid tribute to the mayor of Zipaquirá and the Municipal Council for their contribution to the development of the institution in the municipality of Zipaquirá.

The Rector of the University of Cundinamarca, Adriano Muñoz Barrera, and the Academic Council of the Institution, in gratitude to the Mayor of Zipaquirá for the donation of the lot for the construction of the new UCundinamarca headquarters, paid tribute to the mayor, Luis Alfonso Rodríguez Valbuena, and the Municipal Council..

The new headquarters encompasses a total of 4,051 square meters and will include auditoriums, rehearsal rooms, a recording studio, and other academic spaces. The program's management is also advancing the acquisition of specialized instruments and equipment valued at over 1,300 million pesos, as well as the outfitting of the digital laboratory for 1,170 million pesos. It is worth noting that contract No. FCTC 108 of 2018, valued at 1,542,711,400 pesos, is currently underway for the design of the new headquarters.

This growth will allow the institution to offer new programs such as the Psychology and Sports Science and Physical Education program for the benefit of the Zipaquirá community.
