Tennis players excel in national tournaments

The UCundinamarca tennis team had an outstanding performance in two important national competitions held during September. The athletes demonstrated their talent and preparation at the Tolima National Grade 4 Tournament and the 1st Tocarema Children's Cup, achieving remarkable results.

From September 20 to 22, four tennis players competed in the Tolima National Grade 4 Tournament in Ibagué, organized by the Colombian Tennis Federation (Fedecoltenis). The participants were Juan Sebastián Chacón Benavides, Juan Sebastián Cuéllar Molina, Jerónimo Millán Vaca, and Mateo Acevedo Salamanca.

Sebastián Guevara Barrios, the team's coach, stated that "the athletes competed in doubles and singles events, managing to advance in the national rankings.".

Runner-up and semi-finals in Girardot

On September 27 and 28, seven athletes participated in the 1st Tocarema Children's Cup in Girardot, organized by the García Academy Tennis Club, facing 50 competitors from different regions of the country.

Rodrigo Acero Escobar, the team's coach, highlighted the athletes' performance and assured that "they continue training with a view to the upcoming competitions.".

Participation in both tournaments reflects the growth of the UCundinamarca tennis program and the institutional commitment to the athletic development of its members.
