Juan Felipe Ávila Dallos, a guitarist with a master's degree in classical guitar from the Akademie Für Tonkunst in Darmstadt, Germany, and a master's degree in musical research from the International University of La Rioja, Spain, by second time He is deserving of the National Circulation Grant for soloists, musical groups and musical researchers – II Cycle, offered by the Ministry of Culture through the National Stimulus Program of 2019.
“It’s a motivation to continue working for the advancement of music and musical research. It’s an honor to be recognized by colleagues and teachers with such prestigious careers as deserving of this scholarship. I believe the award also serves to motivate my students to work diligently and rigorously in music, for the benefit of their careers, and to see music as a life path with the highest level of personal satisfaction. This achievement also means a great responsibility because participating in events like the UniQuindio Guit-Art Fest or being invited by universities like Universidad del Valle, especially with an award from the Ministry of Culture, leaves very little room for error. I now have to study double or triple shifts to meet the expectations of the events, the Ministry, and the music world.”, Juan Felipe Ávila Dallos emphasized.
Since 2011, Ávila Dallos has been a professor of classical guitar at the University of Cundinamarca and also a music researcher. Alongside his teaching, he pursues a musical career as an active performer both nationally and internationally, giving recitals in Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Germany, and various cities in Colombia.

Juan Felipe Ávila DallosThe jury reviews and assesses the prestige and relevance of the events or venues in which the artist has participated, as well as their professional career. According to the jury, my project and artistic career are highly relevant and beneficial to the country.
UCundinamarca: What events will you be participating in this second semester?
Juan Felipe Ávila DallosI will be at the III Uniquindío Guit-Art Fest at the Universidad del Valle, between October 28 and 30, and at Uniquindío from October 30 to November 1; I will go to Hidalgo and Tamaulipas in Mexico to offer recitals, master classes, presentations and talks; all this thanks to the call for Ambassador Teacher that was made by the Dialogando con el Mundo office, months ago.
Later, during the first or second week of November, I will be at the Guitar Festival organized by the Central University for the second year in a row.
On another note, I'd like to mention that in April I participated in the 3rd International Guitar Festival at Sergio Arboleda University, where I paid tribute to composer Leo Brouwer on his 80th birthday and a posthumous tribute to Paola Burgos, a colleague and friend who sadly passed away a year ago. We'll see what next year brings.
