The University of Cundinamarca continues to strengthen formative research thanks to the outstanding participation of its research groups in the XXIV Regional Meeting of Research Groups RedCOLSI 2026, held in Bogotá.

During this important academic event, the institution's Opportunity Creators and Knowledge and Learning Managers achieved recognition for the quality of their research projects, demonstrating the institution's commitment to science, innovation, technology, and the social appropriation of knowledge.

Representing the University were 71 Opportunity Creators (students) and 9 Knowledge and Learning Managers (teachers), belonging to the Faculties of Administrative, Economic and Accounting Sciences, Engineering, Agricultural Sciences and Education.

Lina María Torres Quiñones, Knowledge and Learning Manager for the Electronic Engineering program and leader of the Kinestasis research group, highlighted the students' commitment and perseverance, which is reflected in the results of their projects during the academic experience. She also noted that all participants received certification for their participation as presenters and evaluators.

For her part, Emely Xiomara Ortiz Cárdenas, an Electronic Engineering student, said that the experience allowed her to strengthen her knowledge and receive guidance from research experts.

“It was a meaningful experience because it allowed us to expand on what we learned in the classroom and demonstrate that the University of Cundinamarca has a strong research foundation,” the student stated. Among the top awards is the Semilla Prize, given to projects with the highest scores in the Meritorious category across various fields of knowledge.

In addition, several projects received approval to participate in the ENISI 2026 National and International Meeting, which will be held in Montería from October 7 to 10, taking the institution's research talent to national and international stages.

Similarly, some projects were selected for publication in the magazine “Sowing Science and Innovation”, a space dedicated to promoting scientific dissemination and the exchange of knowledge.

These results reflect the commitment of the University of Cundinamarca to train researchers capable of generating innovative solutions for the territory, in accordance with the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT)
