The University of Cundinamarca made its name proud during the Mesitas Cup 2025, a tournament endorsed by the Cundinamarca Swimming League and held on August 2nd and 3rd in the municipality of Mesitas del Colegio.
In their first appearance at the Festival, the team of 18 swimmers across the Mach, Junior, Children's, Youth, Senior, and Master categories won 3 gold and 8 bronze medals, achieving eighth place in the overall standings. The competition brought together 234 athletes and 19 clubs from across the country.
On August 3, in the Cup competition, the delegation of 21 swimmers won 7 gold, 4 silver, and 12 bronze medals, securing third place overall. A total of 160 athletes from 16 national clubs participated in this phase.
Coach Anyi Lorena Colmenares Galeano celebrated the swimmers' effort and commitment, and announced that the team is already preparing for upcoming challenges: the Swimming Festival in Guaduas (September 27), the UCundinamarca Swimming Cup (October 25 at the CAD) and the Girardot City Cup (October).
Colmenares Galeano expressed gratitude for the collaborative work with instructor Lisbeth Nallibe Rincón Cuéllar and highlighted the constant support of the parents, which was fundamental to the achievements obtained.
