Teachers Marcela Díaz Ramírez and Martha Isabel Díaz successfully participated as speakers on September 7th and 8th in the city of Florencia, (Caquetá) at the Third International EFL Teachers' Congress "English in a Globalized World" of the University of Amazonia, with the presentation entitled The effectiveness of flipped classroom in an EFL university class as a result of applied research with students of the Agronomic Engineering program of the University of Cundinamarca, (Facatativá extension)
The pedagogical strategy implemented with this group was Flipped Classroom, the participating students received – input – before the class through videos prepared by the teachers as preparation for the face class, in which clarification of doubts, oral representations and forums were carried out.
Later, at home, they completed online guides covering the topics discussed in class during the semester. The positive effects included meaningful learning of English as a second language, improved academic performance, and increased exposure to the language due to the reduced schedule of only two hours per week.
