Student-athletes from the University of Cundinamarca, after an outstanding performance in the IX National Open Para-Swimming Cali 2018, obtained 13 gold medals and 5 silver medals for our institution and the region in different modalities, activities that also allow them to advance towards the qualification of the next Paranational Games 2019.
Natalia Prada, a student of the Bachelor's Degree in Basic Education with Emphasis in Physical Education, Recreation and Sports, won 5 gold medals and one silver medal in the s7 physical category, short stature.
Meanwhile, Yeison Peña, an Electronic Engineering student, won three gold and three silver medals in the S11 visual category.
Likewise, María Alejandra Macías, a Systems Engineering student, won 5 gold medals and one silver medal in the s4 physics category.
The event held in the city of Cali featured the participation of athletes from Antioquia, Bogotá, Boyacá, Caquetá, Meta, Risaralda, Santander, Tolima, Valle del Cauca, among others.
The students who represented this department, belonging to the Cundinamarca Physicists League and sponsored by Indeportes, were led by the coach and teacher of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Mauricio Moreno.
