The recreational play project led by students Yésica Alejandra Quiceno Jiménez and Maicol Alexander Carreño Dimaté from the fifth semester of the Bachelor's Degree in Basic Education with Emphasis in Physical Education, Recreation and Sport, seeks to create environmental awareness and recycling practices in schools in the region.
“The project raises awareness among ninth-grade students about the importance and preservation of the environment, since being located in a potentially agricultural municipality, respect for nature must be promoted, and in turn, on this occasion, to involve the entire population in the #Heroesporsanti campaign,” said the young student Yésica Alejandra Quiceno Jiménez.
It's worth noting that the educational and recreational event has a social component: to help a community mother whose four-year-old son, Erick Santiago Ortiz Piedrahita, has been diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy. During the event, recyclables were collected to cover the costs of his high-cost regenerative stem cell therapy treatment.
For his part, student Maicol points out that the pedagogical project also seeks multidimensional learning.. “It is important to say that during this practice, both the students who carry out the activity and the students who receive the information are made aware of the needs of human beings and the environment, which contributes to the formation of the person and the professional of the 21st century.”.
