Students from the Systems Engineering program at the Facatativá Extension: Karen Rodríguez and Iván Espitia, under the tutelage of teacher César Barahona, develop a digital assistant focused on optimizing the registration process for learning fields.
The project proposes a digital assistant via a chatbot on the Telegram social network to optimize the time spent on each request and its associated processes, thus supporting the University in the technological convergence it has begun. The development of this digital assistant, which will communicate with the student, will guide them in choosing their schedules in an optimal and efficient manner, the professor explained.
“It is not only for the provision and guidance of academic processes, it can be implemented in the processes of University Social Interaction, University Welfare and in countless services that the Institution provides,” added Barahona.
UCundinamarca has successfully implemented digital tools such as Teams, Outlook, Medit a un Clic and the institutional platform itself during this time of pandemic, which has allowed the institution to perform its core functions normally.
The teacher also stated that the registration of these learning fields can sometimes cause delays in the service due to high demand and the number of students present at the time of this academic registration, in addition to the dynamics and particularities of each student, which requires the creation of an academic schedule that adapts to their needs and optimizes their learning.
