With the purpose of strengthening multidimensional learning, the Animal Science program held the videoconference “ on March 6th“Foraging: an ethological perspective animal". This broadcast from the University of Buenos Aires featured the participation of Héctor Ricardo Ferrari, PhD in Natural Sciences from the University of La Plata (Argentina).
In the videoconference led by Ferrari, who shared his experiences, knowledge and learning achieved in more than 30 years of training and research, there were 27 students and two teachers present from the Wildlife Feeding Elective and the Animal Welfare Course.
Héctor Ricardo Ferrari, trained in Biology, PhD in Natural Sciences, Master in Anthropology and research professor at the University of Buenos Aires is an international reference for the study of issues related to animal welfare and the study of behavior of domestic and wild species.
“This is an opportunity for students to recognize international advances and trends in the field. It serves as an example of the importance of strengthening professional and research training and the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as a means of learning.”, explained John Alexander Moreno Sandoval, coordinator of Animal Science, Fusagasugá branch.
This experience will have a second session on March 20th where the topic will be addressed: “Predation and anti-predation behavior in the main species of productive interest”.
It is important to note that multidimensional learning is framed within real-time or virtual learning environments. It is a gateway to dialogue with the world, characterized by being open, inclusive, and collaborative, where methods and techniques are applied to foster holistic development.
