Socialization and training on application for project management

On June 12, training was conducted on topics and procedures for strengthening research management at UCundinamarca.

The Vice-Rector's Office for Academic Affairs and the Research Directorate of the university held a training session for the institutional community on the use of the "University Research" application and the Authentication tool. They also presented the 2017 research grant opportunities, general information about the 2017 Colciencias grant program, and the Research Directorate's website.

The training and outreach to the institutional community aimed to publicize the topics being developed to strengthen the research procedures of the University of Cundinamarca.

The Director of University Research, José Zacarías Mayorga Sánchez, explains the importance of the academic event:

The socialization process began with the use of the application called “University Research” Developed by the Systems and Technology Department, Software Development area of Ucundinamarca, with the purpose of creating a research project management proposal for the different internal calls for proposals in 2017. Training was also provided on the basic use of the tool for Authenticity, of academic production Identicate.

The engineer Alejandra Niño Gómez explains the importance of the application:

Subsequently, the presentation of the 2017 Research Calls was carried out, terms of reference for the internal call to finance research projects in 2017, and terms of reference for the second internal call to finance macro-research projects in 2017.

It is worth noting that all institutionally endorsed research groups registered in the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation Scienti-Colciencias at the time of opening of this call for proposals may participate in these calls.

For her part, Farly Andrea León Maz, coordinator of the framework agreement signed between the National University of Bogotá and the University of Cundinamarca, explained the general guidelines of the call for joint research projects between both institutions.

Dr. Olga Marina García Norato and Dr. Jaime Augusto Porras Jimenez presented general aspects of the Colciencias 2017 call for proposals.

The training day concluded with the presentation of the new website of the Research Directorate, which will be enabled in the coming days.

The academic socialization event was attended by university directors, the Vice-Rector for Administration and Finance, deans, program directors, directors of branch campuses and extensions, leaders of research groups, research professors, members of the Research Development Committee, members of the Research Directorate, among others.
