Outstanding performance in tennis tournaments

The tennis team from the University of Cundinamarca demonstrated its competitive level in the El Bosque Club Tennis Open Jr López Cup and the Ciudad Jardín Club Tournament, held from April 17 to 20, 2025 in Silvania and Fusagasugá.

Pedro Alexander Suárez Guzmán, the team's coach, highlighted the participation of athletes Samuel López Ibáñez and Alba Ormanza Pérez, who brought honor to UCundinamarca.

López Ibáñez was crowned champion in the singles category, sixth division, in both tournaments. Meanwhile, Ormanza Pérez reached the semifinals in the fifth division of the Ciudad Jardín Club Tournament.

“The students” commitment, discipline, and dedication were fundamental to achieving these results,” emphasized Suárez Guzmán, who also expressed his gratitude for the support of the parents, whose role was crucial in the athletes’ development. Finally, the coach announced that the team is already training for its upcoming participation in the 5th UCundinamarca Tennis Cup.
