By: Alejandro García Suárez – Advisory Office for Communications.

The UCundinamarca Children's Cycling team participated on December 14, 2025 in the IV Valid of the Fox Cup, Push Bike modality, held in the municipality of Girardot, on the recreational sports track of the Stadium Complex.

Coach Carlos Andrés Lote Pérez explained that the sporting event proceeded without incident and included the participation of several clubs from the region. He noted that the main objective was to promote sports initiation, the enjoyment of competition, and the strengthening of developmental processes at an early age.

He also highlighted that the sports venue offered adequate conditions of safety, visibility and logistics, which allowed the children to demonstrate their motor, technical and control skills on the Push Bike in each of the tests.

Results that fill us with pride

The UCundinamarca delegation made its mark in most categories, achieving extraordinary results that reflect discipline and commitment:

  • Champions: Diego Leonardo Pataquiva (2023 B), Josué Matías Tovar (2021 A), Samuel Julián Mendoza (2020 A) and Numar José Bueno (2020 B).
  • Runners-up: Cristofer García Melo (2023 A), Domenic Steven Anzola (2 years B), Salma Briceño Castañeda (2021) and Jerónimo Caicedo Hortua (2021 A).
  • Third Place: Jared Matías Pineda (2021 B).

According to the coach, these results reflect the athletes' high technical level, discipline, and commitment, as well as the effectiveness of the teaching-learning process and the methodological work of the coaching staff.

The success achieved is also due to the pedagogical and emotional support provided by coach Carlos Andrés Lote Pérez and his partner, Juan Francisco Devia Ranjel. Together, they provided the necessary guidance for the athletes to manage their emotions and give their best in every event.

With these actions, UCundinamarca reaffirms its commitment to youth sports, laying the foundations for future regional cycling stars to continue achieving great goals.
