Soacha Youth Camps

The Youth Camps They are a contemporary sports practice carried out during the second semester of 2017, one of the best experiences lived by the students of Sports Science and Physical Education of the Soacha extension.

The practice is led by the teacher Arnulfo Torres Rincón, who through collaborative work with his students makes these spaces unforgettable and with a high capacity for learning.

Seven tribes participated in this camp: Pijaos, Raizales, Wayuu, Makuna, Zikuani, Awa, and Muiscas. The camp took place in Icononzo, Tolima, where, through various activities, participants experienced a range of sensations and a mix of emotions brought about by their contact with the environment. These experiences fostered a sense of belonging to the institution and helped them pursue their goal of becoming highly skilled professionals in their respective fields.

For three days, coexistence and tolerance with others were put to the test, requiring everyone to give their best to thrive and complete the various challenges. During the camp, the instructor stated, "Each group gets what it deserves," a phrase that perfectly captured the unity of the four elements in a scene few get to witness and appreciate.

“Experiences that generate life, love, learning, but above all, respect for our fellow human beings”
