Skills development course for rural populations

The Business Administration program at the Ubaté branch provides the community with opportunities for knowledge creation through University Social Interaction and Community Outreach, led by professors Luisa Johana Lara and Adelina Guzmán in the course: Developing Entrepreneurial Skills in Rural Communities. Currently, more than 25 families from the municipalities of Ubaté, Sutatausa, Guachetá, Cucunuba, Carupa, Capellanía, and Lenguazaque are benefiting from this type of training.

“These proposals enrich the construction of social representations that empower communities regarding their responsibility and possibility of contributing to their social and economic growth through their productive units,” says Professor Luisa.

With the support of entities such as Sena, these fields of learning that converge in the rural population and their importance for the territory are strengthened, thus attending to our Transmodern Digital Educational Model using translocality as an agent of social transformation that solves problems in a particular way, creating impact in each of its localities and recovering the initiative and cultural leadership.
