At UCundinamarca, the Director of the Girardot branch, Fredy Valdés García, convened the seminar "Benefits and impacts of the implementation of a Safety and Health Management System at Work", in partnership with Quality Forum.
The seminar speakers were Nelcy Báez Álvarez, with the presentation “Impacts of Implementing an Occupational Health and Safety Management System”; Rodrigo Vera Jaimes, president of the Quality Forum International Network of Quality and Excellence Experts, with the presentation “Occupational Health and Safety: Everyone’s Responsibility”; and Marcela Bermúdez Valdés, a nurse specializing in occupational health and safety management, with the presentation “General Aspects of Occupational Health Legislation.” The active breaks were coordinated by Henry Gaviria Ávila, a sports instructor and specialist in sports training.
The main objective of this seminar was to generate commitment and participation of the institution's workers, students and stakeholders with the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS), through knowledge of the benefits and impacts of the system, contributing to its implementation and continuous improvement.
