She is Laura Camila Carvajal, an eighth-semester nursing student at the Girardot campus, who will represent Colombia as a speaker on leadership in innovation and technology in nursing. The event will reach all Latin American countries on November 10th.
At the meeting, which will discuss nursing, technology, and innovation as educational activities by student nursing associations from Latin American universities, the Colombian student will be accompanied by the presidents of the student nursing associations from the Autonomous University of Honduras, the University of El Salvador, and the University of Guayaquil in Ecuador.
It is worth mentioning that Laura is an outstanding student who has also been working on a research project about the perception of the hearing-impaired population regarding the health care provided by nursing staff in the municipality of Girardot. She also belongs to the Sipav research group, which is part of the Sattwa group, institutionally endorsed and categorized as "C" by Minciencias.
“This is undoubtedly a great opportunity to showcase what we have been doing at UCundinamarca through the Nursing program; it is about contributing our knowledge to the advancement of nursing across the continent, and achieving collaborative work for the region,” said student and criminal lawyer Laura Carvajal.
