Reinterpreting the CAC Sowing Hope

Within the reinterpretation proposed for the Cultural Learning Field “Sowing Hope”, work has been underway on experiences that, from the rescue of gastronomic traditions, ancestral knowledge and low-cost technologies, give meaning to the awareness for the care of the environment and are committed to the intervention of all dimensions of MEDIT.

This is how each of the experiences are linked, in such a way that the “Developing creative capacity with low-tech technologies cost”, whose phases are, “Let's co-create our home garden from composting”" and “Development of a rainwater harvesting system”"They connect with the second experience called “Gastronomic traditions with soul and heart”, raised in the phases “"SatYou are ancestral about the construction of handicrafts for the typical kitchen” and subsequently, “Preparation of traditional drinks”, Thus, the evidence in each quarter contributes to a result at the end of the year.

The topic has been addressed from various perspectives, reflected in digital products available to participants, such as a video on vermicomposting, a video on home gardens, a podcast, an infographic, a Prezi presentation, an interview with senior citizens, and a live broadcast with an audience from several educational institutions in the region. This has involved in-depth exploration of composting and home gardens, focusing on both a technical perspective and a social, environmental, and ancestral understanding.

Finally, it is important to highlight that prior to this experience, 751% of participants had moderate or no knowledge of the topics covered, 72% consider learning about these topics very important, and 61% are interested in continuing the socialized work at home. In this way, participants are transforming their habits related to environmental care through awareness-raising experiences.
