Reforestation Day at UCundinamarca

The second day of tree planting and eco-learning, called "Adopt a tree, give life," was held simultaneously at the University's Main Campus and the High Performance Center.

This idea, an initiative of Rector Adriano Muñoz and Dean of Agricultural Sciences Vilma Mora, seeks to plant trees, mainly fruit trees, with the idea that in the future UCundinamarca students can have access to fresh fruit.

“The tree planting is also intended to allow native birds of the Sumapaz Region to enjoy the green lung of Fusagasugá,” said Professor María Janeth Camargo, referring to the activity.

Among the trees that have been planted in the two days are ocobos, oaks, magnolias, guavas and citrus species including different kinds of orange and mandarin.
