The recognition aimed to identify and acknowledge the teachers who, despite the contingency conditions due to the global emergency of COVID-19, made an effort to generate learning processes in an innovative way and in accordance with the Transmodern Digital Educational Model, MEDIT.

The nomination was made through a survey-type form; the students nominated their teacher who stood out in their commitment to the implementation of good practices in educational innovation according to qualitative and quantitative aspects; taking into account the following indicators: communication, creativity, innovation, resourcefulness and use of ICTs in the classroom.

In the second phase, 50 teachers were pre-selected. In this stage, the students who nominated the teacher submitted a short video demonstrating their experience and innovative teaching skills in the teaching process.

In the final phase, eight teachers were selected, who participated in the "Entre Profes" discussion, a space in which they shared their experiences, learnings and experiences in their knowledge management processes and technology-mediated learning in times of COVID-19.

It is worth noting that the videos of the semifinalist professors from phase two underwent a selection process by a panel of external experts from the University of Cundinamarca. These experts evaluated the videos based on criteria defined by EFAD, ultimately selecting six professors as finalists.

These were the teachers recognized by the Observatory of Good Practices in Educational Innovation: José Iván Patarroyo Ortíz, Edgar Hernando Criollo Velásquez, Daniel Humberto Arévalo Sierra, Luis Abelardo Martínez Santana, Dayro Arley Torres Vargas, and Yanira Patricia Barrera Ávila.
