They are two students from the Nursing program at the Girardot branch, Leidy Vanessa Aguilar and Daniel Felipe Beltrán, both in their ninth semester, who will arrive at the Lázaro Cárdenas Technological Institute in Mexico to carry out their international volunteer work.
“In accordance with the Dialoguing with the World policy, in its first strategic action, called Dialoguing Knowledge with the World, through the mission functions of UCundinamarca, these types of objectives are achieved which undoubtedly contribute to the growth of the institution and the communities,” explained Yuri Chávez, a teacher in the program.
In this way, the exchange will take place from November 28th to December 14th, where the students will carry out, in an interdisciplinary manner, activities ranging from environmental conservation in communities of that country to activities directly related to their nursing profession.
“This international volunteer program is a joint effort with University Social Interaction to generate solutions to global problems and challenges in international cooperation. We wish our students, who will be representing the Nursing program internationally in this volunteer program, the best of luck,” concluded Professor Chávez.
