Submit your sustainable university practice

The Directorate of Social Interaction (ISU) and the University Social Responsibility (RSU) area invite students, teachers and staff to participate in the Global Compact call for submissions with a written article, which aims to highlight good practices in university sustainability.

As part of the promotion of the 2030 Agenda from academia, the Principles Table for Responsible Management Education (PRME) Colombia and the Global Compact Network Colombia will launch a special publication and for this reason they invite UCundinamarca to send one (1) article which, if selected, will be included in said publication.

“UCundinamarca has been part of the Global Compact initiative since 2015 and this year we reaffirm our commitment to participate in the working groups on human rights, the environment and the fight against corruption,” explained Dr. Víctor Hugo Londoño, director of ISU.

Those interested in participating in this call for submissions must send their article no later than November 18th to the email address [email protected] addressed to Patricia Gil, Leader of University Social Responsibility, the area that guides the team that will select the article that will represent the institution.

The submitted text must be two pages long and may be about ONE of the following topics:

  • Sustainability Research.
  • Adaptation to the Pandemic.
  • Promoting Sustainability (With its Stakeholders)
  • Alliances for Sustainability (How they have joined with different actors in society)
  • Teaching in Sustainability.

Article characteristics: · Highlight a Sustainable Development Goal and/or one of the Principles of the Global Compact and/or one of the Principles for Responsible Education in PRME Management.

  • The good practice described in the article should already be in place; it should have been in effect for at least one year.
  • The article should explain, regarding the good practice: its impact, how sustainability over time is ensured, its objective, what makes it innovative and why it is relevant.
  • Maximum 10,000 characters (approximately 1500 words).
  • High-quality photos. Permission to use the photos is required.
  • There are limited slots for articles and they are chosen through an editorial committee (Submission of the article does not guarantee its publication, this depends on the evaluation made by the editorial committee).

Dr. Londoño concluded that it is essential that, as an institution, we participate in these calls for proposals so that we can publicize the good practices we carry out and have them recognized and published.
