Positive outcome of the MEN peer review visit

On April 27 and 28, at the Fusagasugá Campus, the Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics received a visit from academic peer Pablo Rebolledo, and at the Girardot Branch, delegate Amalia Pachón visited the Bachelor's Degree in Basic Education with emphasis on Humanities: Spanish Language and English on May 4 and 5.

“The overall assessment is positive. The peer reviewers were attentive and received all the information from senior management and other directors. We are awaiting the report from the academic peers through the Ministry of National Education (MEN) to continue this process,” stated Ángela María Merchán Basabe, Director of Self-Evaluation and Accreditation.

“The university’s four undergraduate programs meet the quality standards required by the Ministry of National Education (MEN), both in its curriculum reform in terms of its qualified registration and through high-quality accreditation, so we are confident that we are on the right track,” Merchán added.

The renewal of the qualified registration of the Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and the Bachelor's Degree in Basic Education with emphasis in Humanities: Spanish Language and English will allow us to demonstrate the continuous and comprehensive improvement of these two programs, in accordance with the quality conditions required by the MEN and led by the Directorate of Self-evaluation and Accreditation of the University, said Fredy Valdés García, director of the Girardot branch.
