With the purpose of promoting and encouraging reading and creative writing, and creating spaces and scenarios conducive to the word, the University Welfare Directorate in conjunction with the Cantemos Fusagasugá Foundation, carried out the sixth edition of the Poetry Festival on August 16 and 17.
This time the event held in the Emilio Sierra Baquero auditorium at the Fusagasugá Headquarters featured the participation of 14 local poets, 17 nationally recognized poets, as well as 5 musical groups and the theater company Escuelas de Formación en Artes Escénicas of the Fusagasugá Secretariat of Culture.
During this meeting there was also the presence of the artistic collective Circo Clown Destino, the reading room “La Chiva Loca” of the Culture Office of the municipality of Sibaté and the participation of storytellers and reading promoters.
Similarly, within the framework of the Festival, reading promotion workshops, conferences related to poetry and performances by the different collectives and groups invited to the event were developed, activities one hundred percent directed to the participating community of approximately 300 people.
