Pedaling towards victory

The Cundinamarca University Children's Cycling Team once again demonstrated their passion and dedication in the III Valid of the Saurios Cup 2025, held on July 27th at the El Placer Pan American track, in the municipality of Cota, Cundinamarca.

This time, they participated in the Push Bike and MTB XCO modalities, facing more than 450 athletes from 12 clubs in the country.

Under the direction of coaches Carlos Andrés Lote Pérez and Juan Francisco Devia Ranjel, the delegation of ten children cyclists obtained important results:

  • In the Push Bike category, one of the representatives finished in 1st place, followed by another athlete in 12th place, while the third cyclist finished in 15th place.
  • In the MTB XCO category, outstanding positions were achieved: 2nd, 5th, 10th, 11th, 18th and 19th, reflecting the commitment, technique and constant effort of the young athletes.

Instructor Lote Pérez highlighted that six of the cyclists reached the final phase, and three of them managed to climb onto the podium, consolidating an outstanding performance by the club.

Likewise, the coach expressed his gratitude for the exemplary support of the parents and guardians, who provided assistance throughout the day and reaffirmed with their attitude the value of fair play and healthy competition.

The team continues its training at the CAD Academic Sports Center, with its sights set on upcoming competitions, always upholding the name of the University of Cundinamarca.
