The Children's Cycling Club had an outstanding participation in different regional competitions held between February and March, consolidating its presence in sports venues in Cundinamarca and Boyacá, ratifying the institutional commitment to comprehensive training through sport.
During this competitive period, the athletes in training represented the University in experiences such as the Bogota Cycling Cup, the Gladiators Off Road Cup, the INDECUR event and the Finca de Rigo Race, facing demanding circuits designed to strengthen technical, physical and competitive skills from an early age.
The competitions took place in natural settings and specialized tracks, with surfaces of grass, dirt and mud, as well as motocross-type circuits, which allowed the boys and girls to strengthen aspects such as balance, coordination, bicycle control and confidence in competition.
The results obtained were highly positive. The club achieved first, second, and third places in different categories and modalities such as Push Bike, MTB beginners, electric bike, and children's motorcycling, in addition to multiple placements within the award range, reflecting the progressive advancement of the training process.
Beyond the podium finishes, these participations allowed us to evaluate the children's athletic performance, highlight improvements in starting technique, pace management and safety during the race, as well as identify aspects to strengthen within the training plan.
“Every competition is a learning opportunity. Beyond the results, the most important thing is the technical growth, confidence, and attitude that the boys and girls build in each scenario,” highlighted Carlos Andrés Lote Pérez, coach of the UCundinamarca Children's Cycling team.
The constant support of the technical team and the families was fundamental to the development of each sporting day, generating a positive environment that favors the sporting and personal growth of the athletes in training, as well as an exemplary institutional representation in each sporting event.
The institution continues to promote these educational spaces that foster sports from the Academic Sports Center (CAD), as a tool for building life projects, reaffirming its commitment to integral development, well-being and the formation of values in childhood.
