Within the framework of university autonomy and the principles of participatory democracy enshrined in the Political Constitution of Colombia, participatory budgeting has emerged as a transformative mechanism for financial management in public universities. Beyond being a simple consultation exercise, it represents a fundamental pillar of university governance, positively impacting the legitimacy, transparency, and effectiveness of public resource investment.

The University of Cundinamarca invites the entire university community and the general public to participate in the presentation of the proposed budget for 2026, on October 1, 2025 at 3:00 pm, via the following Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ucundinamarcaoficial/

This will be a space led by Dr. Myriam Lucía Sánchez Gutiérrez, Vice-Rector of Administration and Finance, and Dr. Adriana Asención Torres Espitia, Director of Institutional Planning, who will present the financial overview of the Institution in everything related to the allocation of resources.

The budget projection for fiscal year 2026 is the result of a rigorous, collaborative, and technical exercise designed to strategically align public resources with the objectives of the 2024-2027 Institutional Development Plan. This budget is not just a financial forecast; it is the quantified expression of the institution's commitment to efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness in providing a quality educational service.

In accordance with the institutional culture of generating participatory spaces on a permanent basis, UCundinamarca disseminates and socializes the estimated budget structure for the 2026 fiscal year in order to contribute to the growth and improvement of the current conditions of the University.
