The UCundinamarca Tennis team participated in the Cundinamarca National Grade 4 Tournament held in the municipality of Silvania on October 11, 12 and 13, 2025. Led by the Colombian Tennis Federation (Fedecoltenis), the event brought together 80 athletes from different departments of the country, where the UCundinamarca club demonstrated talent and dedication with 10 tennis players competing.

The most outstanding achievement was reached by Miguel Ángel Pinzón and Mateo Acevedo Salamanca, who advanced to the semifinals of the men's doubles in the 18-year-old category. This performance places them among the best in the country in their age group. The athletes competed in both doubles and singles, demonstrating versatility and technical skill in both formats.

In the 18-year-old category, Juan Sebastián Cuéllar Molina, Kilian David García Navarrete, and Juan Sebastián Chacón Benavides also competed, facing high-level national rivals.

In the 14-year-old male category, Nicolás Vargas Páez participated, while in the 12-year-old female category, Tania Gutiérrez Molano was the only female athlete from the club in this competition.

The 12-year-old male category included the participation of Luis Monroy Chávez, Samuel Muñoz Sanmiguel, and Matías González Escobar, who gained important competitive experience for their athletic development.

Sebastián Guevara Barrios, the team's coach, praised the athletes' participation and encouraged them to continue with even more enthusiasm because of the results they had achieved. "Our athletes managed to move up in the national rankings," he emphasized.

The coach acknowledged the institutional support: “The UCundinamarca club sponsored the registration of our athletes in the Colombian Tennis Federation competition in Silvania.”.

Guevara Barrios announced that the team continues training for the next challenge: “We have a challenge awaiting us in the second week of November in the city of Neiva, Huila, with another Grade 4 Tournament.”.

This announcement maintains the expectation regarding the team's projection in the national tennis circuit, where they will seek to improve the results obtained in Silvania.

The outstanding participation was a result of the leadership of coaches Sebastián Guevara Barrios and Rodrigo Acero Escobar, who continue to strengthen the training process of the tennis players of the UCundinamarca club.

Institutional support through sponsorship of registrations allows athletes to compete in national-level federated tournaments, accumulating experience, ranking points and preparation to face more demanding competitions.

The UCundinamarca Sports Club reaffirms its commitment to the development of tennis in Cundinamarca, training competitive athletes who proudly represent the institutional colors on national stages.
