The University of Cundinamarca announced that new first-semester students will be able to download and pay their tuition receipt between July 29 and August 5, 2026, taking a fundamental step to begin their professional training in the second academic period.
The institution continues to work with the national and departmental governments to secure technical and financial support to guarantee access to higher education for students benefiting from the tuition-free education policy. However, despite the requests submitted, a favorable response has not yet been received.
Faced with this situation, the Higher Council of the University of Cundinamarca authorized the incorporation of institutional resources to benefit, for the first and only time, a group of first-semester students, reaffirming the University's commitment to access and retention in higher education.
The Vice-Rector for Administration and Finance, Myriam Lucía Sánchez Gutiérrez, highlighted that this decision reflects the institutional commitment to students and their families, by allocating its own resources to facilitate the entry of new Opportunity Creators, while continuing efforts to strengthen support for the free education policy.
The administration invited admitted students to complete the process within the established dates and reminded them that the deadline for tuition payment is August 5, 2026.
With these actions, the University of Cundinamarca reaffirms its purpose of expanding opportunities for access to quality higher education, promoting the comprehensive training of individuals committed to the transformation of territories, in accordance with the principles of the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT).
