The University of Cundinamarca continues to consolidate its commitment to high-quality education, focused on the human being and the transformation of the territory, through its Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT).
This year, the institution held simultaneous graduation ceremonies at its seven regional campuses, where 1,170 new professionals received their degrees in various academic programs. The distribution was as follows: Chía (176), Facatativá (277), Soacha (139), Zipaquirá (17), Girardot (91), Ubaté (115), and Fusagasugá (355).
Each ceremony was also a tribute to family, a fundamental pillar on this journey. Fathers, mothers, grandparents, and loved ones accompanied this special moment, playing a leading role by proudly presenting the diploma that symbolizes not only a degree, but a story of shared sacrifices and dreams fulfilled.
During his address from the Chía extension campus, Rector Dr. Adriano Muñoz Barrera emphasized that the University educates more than just professionals; it educates well-rounded, autonomous, and responsible human beings. He noted that MEDIT promotes an education for coexistence, democracy, and freedom, where knowledge is built with a humanistic approach and social commitment.
He also emphasized that graduates are called to be role models in their contexts, capable of practicing their profession ethically and contributing to the development of society from multiple dimensions of life.
Speaking from the perspective of the participants, Jody Carolina Garzón Marentes, a graduate of the Agronomic Engineering program in Fusagasugá, expressed that this achievement represents years of effort, learning, and significant experiences alongside her classmates and teachers, who were a fundamental part of her educational process.
Wilson Gutiérrez, a father, thanked the institution for the education provided to his son, a new professional in Business Administration, highlighting not only the knowledge acquired, but also the values, discipline, and opportunities that are reflected in this important achievement.
Finally, the University invited the community to be part of this educational experience, reminding them that registration for undergraduate programs will be open until May 15, 2026.
With these results, UCundinamarca reaffirms its commitment to training Opportunity Creators, capable of transforming their environment with knowledge, ethics and human sense.
