New UCundinamarca campus in Soacha

A new step towards quality higher education was taken in Soacha. Through a formal ceremony, the Ministry of National Education officially transferred a property managed by the Special Assets Society (SAE) to the University of Cundinamarca, with the aim of expanding its campus in the municipality.

During the ceremony, the rector of UCundinamarca, Dr. Adriano Muñoz Barrera, highlighted the importance of this advancement and thanked the National Government for its commitment to public education. “Public universities are the engine of territorial development and nation-building. In the 21st century, where knowledge and innovation are fundamental, this expansion will be crucial for the growth of Soacha,” he stated.

For his part, the Minister of Education, Daniel Rojas, announced an investment of over 148 billion pesos in infrastructure, furniture, and equipment for the new campus. “We aim to benefit more than 2,160 students with a technological and scientific focus, from engineering-related fields to artificial intelligence programs,” he stated.

Furthermore, the president of SAE, Amelia Pérez Parra, highlighted the collaborative work with the university that made the transfer of the property possible. “We are very pleased to support the growth of UCundinamarca and education in Cundinamarca,” she stated.

Academic offerings with a technological vision

The new headquarters will offer programs in strategic areas such as:
• Business Administration, Public Accounting and Financial Management
• Topographic and Geometric Engineering
• Engineering in Electronics and Renewable Energies
• Robotics and Automation Engineering

With this expansion, the University of Cundinamarca reaffirms its commitment to quality education and technological development in the region, consolidating Soacha as an epicenter of innovation and knowledge.
