More than a thousand participants ran in the UCundinamarca 5K

The day, which began with warm-up and preparation exercises, was attended by students, graduates, teachers, and administrative staff.

More than 1,100 registered participants took part in the 11th edition of the 5K Athletic Race that took place on November 16th in the city of Fusagasugá.

The recreational-sports event, held along one of the main roads of the municipality and at the facilities of the University of Cundinamarca, had the participation of people distributed in the categories Teachers and Administrative Staff A (18 to 45 years old), Teachers and Administrative Staff B (Over 46 years old), Open, Elite and Schools.

The organization of the athletic event, which began in 2008, is the responsibility of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, the Human Talent Office, and Professor Guillermo Cantor García, director of this activity.

“These activities aim to motivate participants to engage in physical activity and improve their quality of life,”, Cantor stated.

The winners of this athletic race in the different categories were:

Female Administrative B: María Teresa Li Reyes

Administrative Male B: Edgar Aurelio P. Ángel

Female Udecino: Gina Lorena Zul Tandioy

Male Udecino: Jhonathan Pulido Fraile

Elite Male: Camilo Aguilón

Elite Female: Briyith Maritza Sabogal

During the awards ceremony, participation certificates and redeemable vouchers were given out by sponsors such as Colsubsidio, ICL Didáctica, Start Fitness, among others.
