On December 1st, the first closing session for student mentoring programs was held at the Facatativá campus, with the participation of 60 students. “The meeting, structured in five parts, allowed for reflection on the experiences, emotions, and feelings involved, the strategies used, the commonalities between different types of mentoring programs, and the identification of opportunities for improvement,” explained Liliana Castro, Head of Academic Development.
In this way, the following were made evident: the creation of resources, the support of knowledge managers in the digitization of their learning fields, the continuous contact with students of the Institutional Learning Fields (CAI) and the development of actions through the Cultural Learning Fields (CAC), as well as the support of projects, among others.
“The success of the mentoring program as an experience in leadership, mutual respect, assertive communication, mediation, and above all, the personalized services offered by UCundinamarca in ensuring quality in training, learning, and knowledge management was definitely vital for the student,” Castro said.
Thus, in this first version, the main role was played by the monitors of the typologies of the Multidimensional Field of Learning (CMA), the School of Teacher Training and Learning (EFAD), University Social Interaction (ISU) and University Welfare, belonging to Ubaté, Zipaquirá, Facatativá, Chía and Fusagasugá, who described the process of interaction with the teacher, the student, the technology, the evaluation and reality as a pleasant space where problems were solved.
“My work focused on the diploma programs and the importance of women as leaders. This was a very enriching experience where I was able to contribute to the learning paths of each of the enrolled female leaders,” said David Pulido, a student in the Music program and a monitor at ISU 2022.
For Camilo Rodríguez, a student in the Systems and Computer Engineering program at the Facatativá extension, his experience as a monitor at the CMA was successful, since “I had the support of the teachers in the digitization of the CAI, successfully delivering the fields proposed for this academic period; all in a joint effort,” the student pointed out.
The 2022-2 monitoring closing experience was led by the EFAD Academic Development office, headed by Liliana Milena Castro with the support of Dr. Adriano Muñoz Barrera; Rector, the Academic Vice-Rector, Dr. Víctor Hugo Londoño and the CMA team.
