With the purpose of empowering the educational community towards literary creation and transformation of the current writer, the Literary Club of the Bachelor's Degree program in Basic Education with Emphasis in Humanities, Spanish Language and English, the Girardot Reading Club and the Yuma Language Club carried out the Meeting of Writers, with the participation of three national writers.
The meeting was an academic and cultural space where delegates from the National Distance University, Minuto de Dios University, the educational community of the Bachelor of Humanities, teachers of the program, and other reading community, discussed literature, education, the challenge of writing about the current society of the 21st century, narratives and poetics, among other cultural topics.
The literary discussion event took place in recent days at the Udecino Auditorium – Vilma Suarez Caviedes, of the Girardot branch, with the participation of writers Martha Fajardo, Tatik Carrión and Luz Estella Rivera Espinosa.
The new novelist from Ibagué Luz Estella Rivera Espinosa He addressed topics such as the role of literature in pedagogy, and the education of high school and university students in the new millennium, linking it to his masterpiece "The Montelíbano Train," a metaphor about the materialization of dreams by a group of planetary passengers on a ghost train.
For her part, Martha Fajardo highlighted the political and ethical commitment of the teacher as a writer, narrator, and literary figure in the face of current reality, and the socializing duty of said commitment that students must assume in order to make their decisions more sensitive and improve the individual and community standard of living.
Tatik Carrión He explained the diasporic power of the word in the spiritual, mental, material and emotional transformation of the human being and the importance of moving the will and daring to write and make oneself visible in a world that requires much love, fraternity and acceptance of difference.
Teachers from the Bachelor's Degree Program in Basic Education with Emphasis in Humanities, Spanish Language and English extended their thanks to the organizers of the cultural event: Bárbara León, Claudia Marcela Jiménez, Juan Alejandro Castiblanco, Uriel Leal Zabala and Diana Marcela Fajardo.
