Let's chat for a while – October 12, 2017

The first day of Let's chat for a while of the five that are scheduled. The activity took place at the Soacha Extension in the Professor Siglo 21 Laboratory, which brought together a good number of students, teachers and administrative staff, who met in the Siglo 21 Laboratory and others who connected via streaming.

The topic discussed was Communication Strategies, which was led by the guest speaker. Amanda Pedraza Rodríguez, PhD in Humanities, who highlighted the importance of communication as a useful tool for transmitting information to others, respecting the opinions of others and knowing the strategies that allow us to use it appropriately.

Fragment the information into four cubes for better retention, communicate it in an organized way starting with an introduction, continuing with a clear development and culminating with a decisive conclusion that allows the message to reach its recipient, generating an impact in relation to what we wish to convey; as well as pre-reading the texts, looking from the outside to grasp what is inside: identifying titles, images, reviewing the index, highlighting and beginning to identify concepts and keywords through boxes and colors that allow us to easily remember them.

These are some of the guidelines given that will allow us to approach certain communication strategies that will help us access a more assertive and therefore healthier lifestyle.

Don't miss the second space designed to continue building the University we want and deserve this October 25th where we will talk about Ethics and Technology with the Head of the Office of Virtual and Distance Education.
