Transparency on the part of public servants has been a primary task for public entities such as the University of Cundinamarca, which focuses on implementing values, compliance, and accountability in institutional management. In this regard, the Autonomous Code is presented as a tool that allows the institution to achieve its objectives, based on good governance guidelines.
The Autonomous Code of the University of Cundinamarca is conceived as an important mechanism within institutional management and integrity, in which the values and ethical principles that characterize the actions of public servants are established, among which the following stand out:
TRANSHUMANITY: “A person who goes beyond themselves, who improves and transforms every day, setting aside their own interests, taking the position of others, living beings and nature, who perfects themselves before and not necessarily through technology and science; but who also fights for their happiness, carries out their life plan, without diminishing others and giving their best as a professional, innovative entrepreneur and transformer of their environment; who explains and thinks in dialogue with the community and coexistence” (Barrera, 2019)
TRANSLOCAL TRANSMODERN CULTURE (CTT): It is aimed at achieving a regulatory ideal of constant improvement, understood from the perspective of the other, living beings and nature, which is based on the following principles and values: Life, human dignity, solidarity, fraternity, happiness, love, diversity and plurality, respect, the common good, coexistence, autonomy, freedom, responsibility, civility, dialogical and formative construction. (Muñoz Barrera, 2019).
TRANSMODERNITY: The University of Cundinamarca does not renounce the unfulfilled utopias of modernity and postmodernity, such as justice, solidarity, and freedom. Consequently, it seeks to educate a free individual who understands themselves through others and nature, who, through dialogue and collaborative construction as a guiding ideal, forges their identity and personal development, appropriates the local and ancestral context, and acts as a transhuman being who transforms reality.
TRANSLOCALITY: A characteristic of the present moment, which accounts for how the global and the local are intertwined, and how new communication technologies have been disrupting social relations and daily life.
Teamwork
The Autonomous Code will allow the University of Cundinamarca to establish a guiding system that structures the set of acceptable, transparent, ethical, self-regulated, self-controlled, autonomous, independent, and democratic behaviors and provisions that officials and public servants belonging to the institution must have in each of the processes and in the administration of resources in general, in such a way that the management of the organization is accompanied by the approval and trust of external and internal users.
The University's strategic orientation is focused on making the institution environmentally conscious, entrepreneurial, of high quality, and an educator for life, democratic values, civic responsibility, and freedom. In this way, the fulfillment of the mission, vision, and institutional objectives is, to some extent, guaranteed by the pillars that support the University of Cundinamarca's planning model.
