Latin American Workshop UCundinamarca

Educating students for life and values means creating spaces for dialogue that foster the sharing of knowledge and the resolution of challenges, thereby enhancing their professional skills. This April 13th, the University of Cundinamarca, through its Faculty of Engineering, is leading an engaging event at its Chía campus, featuring prominent speakers in the field of engineering.

8:00 am – 9:00 am “Let’s develop a little with Azure: Azure Functions, API Management and Logic Apps”

ENGINEER LUIS EDUARDO MAURYSystems engineer with over fifteen years of industry experience, specializing in cloud services and the design, implementation, and management of cloud solutions. I excel at analyzing complex problems and finding creative and effective solutions.

In addition to my industry experience, I am also a Microsoft Certified Instructor (MCT) and have extensive experience teaching technology tools such as Azure, Office 365, SQL Server, and other cloud technologies. I am passionate about teaching and always strive to make complex concepts accessible and understandable for my students.

ENGINEER JAIME ERNESTO SUAREZ ORTEGA: A programmer since the age of twelve, he is a Systems Engineer, graduated from the Corporación Universitaria del Área Andina, specializing in networks and data communication. In 2016, he received the MVP (Most Valuable Professional) award from Microsoft Corporation in the Microsoft Azure category. He has been a Microsoft Certified Instructor for 10 years.

Certified by Microsoft as an administrator, architect, and security specialist for the Microsoft Azure public cloud. Certified as a DevOps specialist and certified Internet of Things developer. Finalist in the 2019 Titan Caracol Awards in the education category. Semifinalist in the Recon Colombia Awards.

ENGINEER FERNANDO CHIQUIZA: A Bogota native who has worked as a consultant in collaboration and productivity since 2010, focusing on the effective use of technological tools, especially Microsoft products, he has been a Microsoft MVP in the Office Apps & Services category for eight consecutive years. He is also the winner of the "Digital Entrepreneur" award granted by the Ministry of Technology in Colombia. Fernando has extensive experience designing and developing business solutions and holds Microsoft certifications as a SharePoint Specialist, Productivity Specialist, Office 365 Administrator, and Microsoft Technology Licensing Specialist.

ENGINEER RAFAEL GARCIA GOMEZ: PhD. Doctor of Mathematical Sciences with honors from the National University of Colombia. Master of Science in Mathematics from the same university and Systems and Computer Engineer from the University of the Andes. Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Design, and Innovation at the Grancolombiano Polytechnic. Head Judge for North South America and Colombia of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). Member of the Scientific Committee of the Latin American Congress of Computer Science Studies (CLEI). Member of several boards of directors, speaker at numerous conferences, and author of several scientific articles. Research areas: computability, topology, dynamic graph theory, algorithms, competitive programming, among others..

CRISTIAN ORJUELA ROA, LICENSEDHe holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Environmental Education from the University of Quindío and a Master's degree in Education from the Minuto de Dios University. He has completed diplomas in Competency Development, Virtual Education Teaching, Moodle Administration, and the implementation of digital tools for virtual learning, among others.

He has worked as a teacher and school administrator in basic education institutions and has held teaching and coordinating positions in higher education, both in-person and online, at universities such as La Gran Colombia, Universidad de la Sabana, Universidad Minuto de Dios, and Universidad de Cundinamarca. He is a consultant on topics such as learning assessment, quality assurance, and educational resources, among others. He is a member of the CEINFES research group, recognized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MinCiencias).

Mobile and Web Application Developer, Information Technology Consultant and custom software developer with more than ten years of experience; he is a professor at Norbert Wiener University in the School of Systems Engineering.
