IDDS 2017 PARTICIPANTS DIVIDED INTO 10 WORKING TEAMS

Today, the sounds of drills, hacksaws, hammers, and felling machines filled the hands of the participants of the IDDS 2017, who were divided into 10 working teams according to their expectations, interests, professional training and experience.

These will be the teams that will work together with the communities over the next few days to develop technologies for adaptation to climate change.

The workshop, which took place throughout the day, aimed to develop manual skills and abilities with materials such as PVC and fabric, among others, as well as to begin the adventure of carrying out collaborative work with the communities that were distributed in each team.

The communities are originally from the Sumapaz and Upper Magdalena regions.

For her part, Natalia Escobar, a teacher and researcher at the UCundinamarca, He led the workshop on the production of organic fertilizers to one of the work teams, with whom they also created an innovative structure for the production of vermicompost on a small scale.
