ISU in 2023, closer to everyone

The formation and strengthening of the team of the Directorate of University Social Interaction (ISU), which will operate from the Soacha Extension, will work and impact the main headquarters, the extensions and branches, thus developing a translocal work.

“We want the services provided by ISU to be increasingly accessible to everyone. We are working hand in hand with other areas, programs, professors (knowledge and learning managers), students, and external organizations so that everyone benefits from the management and work of Social Interaction,” explained Ena Patricia Gil, director of ISU.

ISU's challenges include connecting with stakeholders and making a difference in local communities through impactful and beneficial initiatives. We offer a range of services that includes: continuing education with innovative training options such as digital badges, internships and practicums, volunteer opportunities, project management through our Social Innovation Lab (LIS), corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community engagement, as well as involvement in cultural management and heritage preservation.

We have an approach that facilitates the link with companies, State and communities; and with our actions we seek the appropriation of the Transmodern Digital Educational Model, MEDIT.

Furthermore, activities will be held to provide more information about each of the services and how they can be linked to different activities. “The interdisciplinary team at ISU is highly qualified. We are all committed to UCundinamarca and the university community,” added the director of ISU.

The work carried out throughout this year has materialized thanks to the vision and support of Dr. Adriano Muñoz Barrera, rector, and the academic vice-rector, Dr. Víctor Hugo Londoño, Gil emphasized.

ISU aims to consolidate an area that brings the University to the communities, permeates companies, links to academic networks, promotes social and family responsibility, and in this way the Institution and its environment benefit.

Soon, ISU will be communicating to the community how to connect with the projects, and in this way, together achieve a response to the needs and problems of our territories.
