One of the purposes of this academic event was to foster a space for reflective and critical discussion regarding the relevance, pertinence, and impact of Marx's thought in the 21st century and its contribution to shaping the model of the contemporary political individual. Likewise, the Russian Revolution was highlighted as having brought about social, cultural, and political transformations that continue to capture our attention today due to their international implications. This was emphasized by Andrés Caro, Professor of Social Sciences at UCundinamarca and organizer of the event.
