Sustainability is currently a topic addressed globally by various fields of knowledge, production sectors, and businesses. It aims to address humanity's current needs, which threaten resource availability, the resilience of processes, and the overall stability of life on the planet in the future. Furthermore, the diverse strategies and approaches to sustainability have highlighted the importance of contributions from the natural sciences, ecology, environmental sciences, agricultural sciences, social sciences, and even the economic and financial sectors.
This congress is designed as a forum for addressing current and innovative topics of environmental interest to the educational and general community, allowing the University to position itself and gain visibility in various settings. It also serves as a platform for university students to present the results of classroom activities, meritorious theses, research projects, and more. Furthermore, the proposed event strengthens inter-institutional ties and enhances the visibility of the University of Cundinamarca among other national and international institutions, establishing it as a key player in research and dissemination.
Aim: To integrate the appropriate technical and scientific knowledge from the applied sciences of nature into conflict resolution and the adoption of different sustainability strategies that allow us to face current challenges related to food production, management of natural and anthropogenic systems, use of natural resources, improvement of technical and industrial processes, among others.
