International recognition in OSH

The University of Cundinamarca continues to consolidate its position as a leader in institutional well-being after receiving recognition at the IV International Meeting of More Positive Universities, held in Cartagena de Indias between May 12 and 17, 2026. This academic forum brought together national and international leaders, organizations and institutions committed to occupational safety and health, promoting the exchange of experiences and the strengthening of good practices in higher education.

In this context, the institution was recognized for its institutional leadership and its contribution to strengthening new practices of prevention, innovation and a culture of care, standing out as a model in the management of safe and healthy work environments.

The recognition, granted within the framework of the alliance between Positiva Compañía de Seguros SA and the National Association of Professionals in Health, Safety and Environment (ASONAP), highlights the integration of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SG-SST) within the strategic direction of the University.

It also highlights the commitment of senior management and the active participation of the academic community, as well as the implementation of innovative practices in risk management, the strengthening of health promotion programs, and the comprehensive approach to psychosocial risk.

Similarly, the institutional capacity to manage occupational safety and health based on evidence and data analysis is recognized, achieving measurable results, improving the organizational climate and contributing to the overall well-being of its educational community.

During this international meeting, the University's Occupational Health and Safety Management System also actively participated in dialogue and learning spaces, strengthening strategies aimed at preventive culture, well-being and social transformation through education.

For her part, Dr. Olga Lucía Perilla, coordinator of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, emphasized that this event facilitated the sharing of knowledge and the consolidation of actions that positively impact the quality of life of the university community. With this achievement, the University of Cundinamarca reaffirms its commitment to building safe, healthy, and sustainable environments, positioning itself as a national and international leader in promoting a culture of care.
