This is a forum where representatives from more than ten countries come together to analyze competencies and provide a holistic view of the nursing profession across the continent. The virtual event is geared towards nursing students, professionals, researchers, leaders, and entrepreneurs.
The University of Cundinamarca (UCundinamarca) is part of the organizing committee as an active member of the Latin American Network of Nursing Education (RELEDEN), the event's leader. It is worth noting that UDeC will be giving two presentations, delivered by faculty members from the Nursing program, Adriana Perdomo and Carolina Díaz Jurado.
Participating institutions include: the Latin American Higher Academy of Nursing Education, University of Luján Argentina, University of Central America Costa Rica, and nursing representatives from countries such as Cuba, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico, the United States, and Spain, among others.
“The event has several thematic axes that are related to higher education in nursing in the 21st century, education for sustainable development, among other nursing policies in Latin America,” mentioned Viviana Galarza, a licensed nurse, PhD in Higher Education and one of the organizers of the event.
The three-day event, open to everyone, begins today at 2:00 PM and will be streamed on Zoom, YouTube, and Facebook. You can join right now at: https://youtu.be/2IujfRsna4I
“Growth is power, therefore, we can make decisions and contribute to providing comprehensive care to people and transform our reality as leading nursing professionals by working together to achieve excellence and professional growth,” concluded Dr. Galarza.
