Human rights: part of professional training?

Every year the curtain rises at UCundinamarca for the Institutional Theater Encounter, an event that showcases talent and the articulation of knowledge around the performing arts, experiences, processes and university artistic displays.
The UCundinamarca Institutional Theater Encounter featured the participation of the following artistic groups: Los del Tanque from the Soacha Extension with the play entitled “Las Comadres”, the Ubaté branch group Cabuya with the play “Tierra”, the Girardot branch group SACA, the play “A la Diestra de Dios Padre”, the Facatativá Extension with the theater group La Última Risa, the play “Los Pintores no Tienen Recuerdos”, and the Fusagasugá Headquarters group Fénix, the theatrical piece “Ayer y Hoy en mi Pueblo”.
The work of the Colombian writer Tomás Carrasquilla “A la Diestra de Dios Padre” (To the Right Hand of God the Father), which tells the story of Peralta, a man characterized by his great generosity and altruism, and which was interpreted by the students of the Girardot branch through the SACA theater group, was the winner of the institutional meeting to represent the University of Cundinamarca in the Ascún Regional Theater.
The SACA group, led by theater instructor German Andrés Vargas Ospina, presented the best theatrical piece, and also stood out in the staging, stagecraft, lighting, costumes, sound, dramaturgy, direction work and interpretation of the characters.
The judging panel consisted of Luisa Fernanda Angulo Moreno, from Fusagasugá, a graduate of the University of Cundinamarca with a degree in Social Sciences, a teacher at the Gimnasio Real School, a specialist in street theater, an independent theater artist since the age of 11, and currently a teacher of two street theater groups: “De calle somos” and “Desenfocados”.
Orlando Becerra Combariza, linked to the performing arts since 1968, actor, director, playwright, writer and author of short stories and the novel "with eyes closed" and Julio César Arteaga Rondón, Graduate of the Charlot Academy, actor, director and Casting assistant of productions such as the dolls of the mafia, the cartel of the toads and the wonderful years.
