The team from the Research Seedbed “A Path to Rediscover Pedagogy and Pedagogical Knowledge” PESAPE, from the Bachelor of Social Sciences at the Fusagasugá campus of the University of Cundinamarca, was highlighted in the Cundinamarca Youth Hackathon 2025, organized by the Secretariat of Social Affairs and Family of the Government of Cundinamarca, by being selected as a finalist in the Social Development Line with the project “La Cundichiva without barriers”.
The proposal, focused on highlighting true equity and inclusion in education, was recognized for its innovation and relevance, and was chosen as the winner by the public during the final held on August 30 in the Governors' Hall.
Zandra Maritza Tarazona Carrascal, Knowledge and Learning Manager of the Social Sciences program, highlighted the participation of the team made up of students Eduard Francisco Clavijo Criollo, Laura Tatiana Gómez Martínez, Paula Michelle Mayorga Ramos, Maira Alejandra Ortiz Sánchez and Natalia Torres Rodríguez, who demonstrated commitment, creativity and leadership.
For Eduard Francisco Clavijo Criollo, a Social Sciences student and member of the research group, participating in the Hackathon was an honor, as he represented UCundinamarca with an innovative proposal capable of transforming the region. He explained that the project, “La Cundichiva sin barreras” (Cundinamarca Without Barriers), arose in response to a need in the department and has become a pedagogical and instructional tool for schools, with the goal of providing teachers and students with resources that promote equity and inclusion in the classroom.
Clavijo Criollo explained that the project is structured around three main lines:
Game line: designed to understand and apply public policies and school regulations related to equity and inclusion.
Literary line: Focused on showcasing the work of graduate students and compiling real stories and tales obtained during academic internships, in order to raise awareness and generate impact in schools.
Helpline for teachers: It consists of a booklet with activities aimed at different levels of high school, focused on strengthening self-love, managing emotions, creating positive academic environments and promoting true inclusion.
With this achievement, the University of Cundinamarca reaffirms its commitment to continue building society through research, innovation, and the transformative power of youthful ideas.
