As part of the recycling effort that has been underway at UCundinamarca, the Chía extension continues working on implementing a culture in balance with nature in the university community, for this reason, on November 17th, it carried out a recycling activity in conjunction with the Regional Autonomous Corporation (CAR).
With the aim of continuing to socialize and educate the educational community about the current color code and the correct separation of solid waste at the source, this activity was carried out which seeks, of course, to continue increasing not only the figures in the amount of recycled material, but also to generate an environmental awareness throughout the university and its surroundings.
The environmental activity, conducted through a playful space, taught the community the correct way to segregate solid waste, as well as the classification of plastic types and their treatment.
During the environmental event, which involved more than 30 people from the university community, there was collaboration, commitment, and above all, environmental awareness about recycling, said Darnelly Cruz, an environmental engineer from CAR.
Following these exercises, plastic bricks are made with the recycled material, an activity in which the university community also participates.
We live in balance with nature!
